TITLE: Pulmonary and aortic semilunar valves
DESCRIPTION: Opening of the pulmonary trunk and aorta is guarded by a valve with three semilunar cusps. As ventricles relax blood fills these cusps and closes the opening. This photo shows the SVC (on the right of the screen), the aorta in the middle and the pulmonary trunk on the left.
