TITLE: Sternocostal surface of heart
DESCRIPTION: Part of the pericardium is incised and removed, revealing the sternocostal surface of the heart. So called as it underlies the sternum and the ribs. Name the structures forming the right, inferior and left border of the heart. To the right of the apex, a branch of the left coronary artery is faintly visible. What better name than left anterior descending for it!
