This module will equip you with an understanding of the nature of implicit bias, its potential impact on our Faculty's hiring and selection decisions, and introduce tools to address and reduce its influence. Through a combination of medical case studies, expert insights, interactive exercises, and actionable recommendations, you'll be prepared to foster a more inclusive and unbiased environment within the Faculty of Medicine.

Providing Powerful Professional Feedback
The practice of effectively providing, receiving and interpreting feedback involves collaborating and sharing ideas in a professional, inclusive and culturally-safe environment. Providing feedback in a professional manner is essential for faculty, learners, and staff at the Faculty of Medicine because it fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth. This course will examine the impact of unprofessional feedback on an individual, define the standards and expectations for professional feedback at the Faculty of Medicine, and explore strategies for how to give, and receive, feedback using these standards.
