Welcome to the Emergency Medicine Refresher (2024) Registration page. 

Workshop Objectives

After completing this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Review common emergency medicine presentations and the latest evidence in diagnosis and management.
  2. Integrate POCUS in clinical diagnosis and management decisions.
  3. Develop procedural skills in emergency medicine for both common and low-occurrence procedures.
  4. Develop an appreciation for emergency management of geriatric patients and pediatric trauma.


When:
Friday, May 3, 2024 (8:30-4:00 PM) & Saturday, May 4, 2024 (8:00-12:30 PM)
Note: All Friday sessions are in person. The Saturday morning sessions are hybrid, and you can join virtually.

Where: 1M102, Faculty of Medicine Friday and Saturday morning session (8:00 AM -12:30 PM)
Clinical Learning and Simulation Center (CLSC) - Friday afternoon session (1-4 PM)

Note: At the CLSC session on Friday afternoon, you can pick three out of four sessions (see sessions below). These sessions are small groups that run concurrently and are repeated three times.
