The Family Medicine Lecture Series is a partnership between the Long Range, Shalloway, RE-Boot and Endeavor Family Practice Networks, the Family Practice Renewal Program (FPRP), the Office of Professional & Education Development (OPED) with the Faculty of Medicine, the Regional Health Authorities, and Distributed Medical Education (DME) with the Faculty of Medicine. The partnership will see the delivery of a weekly lecture series on topics relevant to family medicine, based on a needs assessment that was conducted by the Family Practice Renewal Program.
Please note: This series of programs will be using the GoToMeeting web platform for all meetings. It is advised that the software be installed and tested prior to the start of the meeting.
The Office of Professional & Educational Development (OPED), Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University, is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME), a subcommittee of the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS). This standard allows OPED to assign credits for educational activities based on the criteria established by The College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
