The photographs and visual materials in this collection were part of a large display that was created in 1983 by Medical Audio-Visual Service (now Health Sciences Information and Media Service - HSIMS) in collaboration with Dr. Brian Payton. The display was a part of the celebration of both the fifteenth anniversary of the Medical School at Memorial University of Newfoundland and the tenth anniversary of the first graduating class of M.D.s. The fourteen posters originally hung in the lobby of the Health Sciences Centre until 1984 when they were put into storage and later donated to the Faculty of Medicine Founders’ Archive.
