The An Introduction to Transfusion Medicine Laboratory Practices Laboratory module has been developed to meet the learning needs of Medical Laboratory Technologists and Medical Laboratory Assistants. The module provides an introduction to the basic knowledge required to work in a transfusion medicine lab as well as an introduction to the process of sending, receiving and storing blood components and products.
An additional learning module examining the approval and issuing process for intravenous and subcutaneous immune globulin is planned for future release.
