Description:
The purpose of the program is to provide a different approach to medical education in Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island with high quality 12-week (over a 16 week period) learning opportunities in environments that might otherwise be limited by the current discipline-centered selective model with minimal structure and a lack of formalized learning. The P2P will create an educational option for students seeking an exposure to a rural, generalist, community-based experience with a continuity of care and patient-centered educational model that can provide an enriched transition into residency.
