Learning Objectives
Blueprint ID Learning Objectives
6295 Describe the following: enzyme specificity, simple and complex enzymes, prosthetic groups and coenzymes, isoenzymes, holoenzyme, proenzymes, metalloenzyme, and apoenzymes
6296 Describe the functional role of the following vitamins to protein function: B vitamins (Biotin, Pyridoxine, Thiamine, Niacin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic acid), and vitamin C (Ascorbate).
6297 Describe the system for classification of enzymes into one of six main groups based on the reactions they catalyze.
6298 Discuss how the interaction of enzymes, their amino acid residues, coenzymes and substrates increase the rate of thermodynamically unfavourable and favourable reactions.
