10025 identify the hormones involved in calcium regulation – PTH, calcitriol, calcitonin and explain their chemical nature, regulation, secretion and action in normal physiology
10026 explain the process of bone formation and resorption at the cellular level and how RANKL/OPG controls these processes
10027 demonstrate basic knowledge of PTHrP and its clinical significance in malignancy and lactation
10028 demonstrate a basic knowledge of fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF23) and its role in regulating phosphorus metabolism, and how excess or deficiency of FGF23 causes disease states
10029 explain the role of the calcium receptor in regulating parathyroid and renal tubular function with respect to calcium
