Course Title:
8730 - Electives
Description:
Electives offer students opportunities to supplement required learning experiences that provide exposure to and/or deepen their understanding of medical specialties reflecting their career and individual academic interests. Electives are based on the principles of self-directed learning and allow students to determine their own learning objectives.Learning and assessment focus on selected EPAs that customize the learning plan for each student in order to maximize learning opportunities and further the attainment of competencies in Phase 4.Elective rotations must be a minimum of two weeks in duration and may be completed in any discipline. Students may pursue elective opportunities locally, nationally, or internationally. All elective learning experiences must be approved by the electives coordinator.
