Continuing Professional Development
As a CACME accredited Office, OPED has the designation to certify/accredit College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) continuing professional development (CPD) programs by following accreditation guidelines set forth by the two colleges.
Through collaboration and partnership, OPED offers a variety of certified/accredited live (face-to-face) and webinar CPD programs each year to enhance and maintain competencies of health professionals and to address the societal needs of Newfoundland and Labrador. Programs are also archived for increased accessibility following the program and available through the website. The monthly CPD@Dusk program provides current, evidence-informed topics after clinic hours to accommodate the busy schedules of health professionals.
