Family Care Teams Foundations - Storming Stage Workshop #1: Communication

Join us for this 90-minute interactive online workshop focused on best practices to support communication in primary health and social care teams, specifically in the Family Care Team context. Participants will receive an overview of key concepts in interprofessional communication in primary care settings, assess communication dynamics in their Family Care Teams, and develop strategies for improving communication processes and outcomes. 

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this workshop attendees will have enhanced their ability to:

  1. Manage patient and client information in a team-based care environment balancing access and privacy
  2. Use common strategies to communicate effectively with interprofessional colleagues
  3. Differentiate and account for collaboration challenges and strategies as related to communication in in-person vs. virtual environments

Who should attend:

This session is open to all health and social care providers working in a Family Care Team or affiliated practice in Newfoundland and Labrador. Others may attend if space allows.
