Saturday Morning MED Talks - Weekly Options in Diabetes Care

Description

The Office of Professional and Educational Development (OPED), in partnership with the American College of Physicians (ACP) Atlantic Provinces Chapter, is pleased to host a half-day CPD workshop titled Weekly Options in Diabetes Care. This program will explore innovative treatment strategies in diabetes and obesity management, with a particular focus on weekly insulin formulations and incretin-based therapies.

Featuring presentations by experts in endocrinology and internal medicine, this Saturday morning Medtalk will highlight real-world applications of insulin icodec and efsitora alfa, regional experiences with GLP-1 receptor agonists, and the evolving role of dual and triple agonists in clinical care. The event will also provide networking opportunities through an industry exhibition and poster display.

Target Audience: Specialists, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Residents, and Other Health Care Professionals

Format: Hybrid (In-person and Virtual). The Webex link will be emailed to registrants 24 hours before the talk.

Location & Parking: Room 1M101 - Dr. Richard Fagan Lecture Theatre. Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University. Once you enter through the glass doors, the first room on the right is the one you will encounter. Registration will be at the Atrium. Parking is available next to the Faculty of Medicine Building.
