Resident Teaching Workshop

Description

This is the synchronous workshop component of the Teaching Effectiveness Program (TEP) for residents. Be sure to complete all the online modules at https://www.med.mun.ca/opd/tep/Default.asp before attending the workshop.

  • All participants must prepare a 5-7 minute presentation to be delivered remotely on the day of the workshop. It can be on any topic: medical or non-medical. Ensure that it focuses on an achievable objective and that you are engaging with the audience (your fellow residents).
  • The topics for the onsite workshop are:
    • Feedback and coaching (practical application)
    • Small group troubleshooting
    • Presentations (yours)

The workshop is May 18, 2021, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. On that date you will return to this page and click on "Attend the online event button" to join by Webex.

The Office of Professional and Educational Development (OPED), Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University, is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME), a subcommittee of the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS). This standard allows OPED to assign credits for educational activities based on the criteria established by The College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
