Effective Feedback and Coaching

Clinical teachers have often found it difficult to effectively provide feedback to trainees. As programs emphasize competency-based medical education more and more, teachers are being expected to be coaches and not just feedback providers. This interactive one-hour webinar will explain the difference between coaching and feedback, provide some tips for "coaching in the moment", and for building rapport with learners so that feedback is received successfully.

The Office of Professional Development (OPD), Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University, is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME), a subcommittee of the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS). This standard allows OPD to assign credits for educational activities based on the criteria established by The College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
