If you are applying for August 2020, the MCAT must be written prior to the application deadline, September 11, 2019.   

Important dates for applying to Memorial's Faculty of Medicine for July 2019/2020 are below.  It is the applicant's responsibility to adhere to these deadlines; late, incomplete applications are not accepted.

CaRMS Online Admissions Application Service opens for August 2020.
September 07, 2019
Last date to write the MCAT in order to be eligible to apply for entry August 2020.
September 11, 2019
Application deadline. Your application will not be considered if documents are received at CaRMS after September 11, 2019.

It is the applicant’s personal responsibility to ensure their application is complete and ALL documents are submitted to CaRMS by the deadline.

Complete applications include MCAT scores, references, and official transcripts.

Refunds for incomplete applications will not be issued.  
October 10, 2019
Deadline for applicants who wrote the MCAT on after August 7, 2019 to release their scores to Memorial Univesity via CaRMS.

Applicants with MCAT exams written before August 7, 2019 must release ALL their scores to Memorial Univesity via CaRMS on or before the application deadline.
September 12, 2019 – October 15, 2019
Admissions Committee reviews applications and offers interviews to successful applicants.

October 16, 2019 – October 30, 2019
Applicants who are not selected for an interview are informed.
November 2, 2019
Interviews are conducted for invited applicants, AM and PM sessions. 
Government issued photo ID is required.

March 2020
Notification of results of the Newfoundland and Labrador competition.
April 2020
Notification of results of the New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island competitions.
May 2020
Notification of results of the Other Canadian Provinces & International Competitions
May 2020 – August 30, 2020
Unsuccessful applicants may meet with the Assistant Dean for Admissions or Admissions Officer to discuss reapplying.
