Office of Student Affairs

About us

The Student Affairs office provides academic, financial, career and personal counselling assistance to medical students. We aim to ensure that all students are supported throughout their training with the resources that they need to succeed. You should contact us any time you have a question, problem or concern, particularly if that concern is likely to have an adverse effect on your studies. We encourage students to take a proactive approach to addressing problems they may be experiencing. If we are unable to help you directly, we will make every effort to provide you with direction and advice regarding other sources of support that you may access. We offer students our assurance that information they share with us will be kept confidential and will not be shared with others, unless deemed absolutely necessary or requested by the student. For more details regarding our commitment to confidentiality, please refer to our confidentiality policy.

The Student Affairs Office is located on the second floor of the Faculty of Medicine in Room M2M115. Our office hours are
Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

We have an open door policy and encourage students to drop in whenever they wish. However, if your preference is to make an appointment, feel free to contact any one of our staff directly.

If you need support while studying at distributed sites we are simply a phone call away! Our number 1 877 794 9740 is toll-free anywhere in Canada.
