Current Residents - Medical Council of Canada Examinations

It is encouraged that all learners successfully sit the Medical Council of Canada Part I exam (MCCQE-I) as early as possible in their medical education i.e. at the end of medical school or soon thereafter.

We also recommend learners apply to become a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) shortly after their first clinical year of residency training.

Please note, it is required to be a LMCC to obtain a full license in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

For further information on applying to become a LMCC, please visit the Medical Council of Canada website.
