Faculty/Staff - Administrative Services - Conflict of Interest

Conflict of Interest disclosures have become much more common in recent years as the level of ethical standards which must be met have been rightly raised tremendously.

Examples include: potential nepotism in faculty/staff/student employee recruitment, Memorial employees benefiting financially from knowledge gained through their employment, pharmaceutical and other industry-related corporations providing funding or other types of benefits to employees with the indirect expectation that these companies will benefit financially from their actions.

MUN Senior Legal Counsel is the sponsor of the Conflict of Interest policy and Vice-Presidential Council receives and rules upon COI disclosures.
