Toronto alumni and friends of the Memorial University Alumni Association organized the 5th Annual Toronto Affinity Dinner, held at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto on Nov 3. Dr. James Rourke, dean of Medicine, hosted a table as a thank you to some of the Faculty of Medicine's donors in the Toronto area. Mrs. Connie Lau and her husband Dr. Ming Jarm Lau are the supporters of the Dr. Kevin Keough Scholarship in Medicine.

More than 150 alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Memorial University and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador enjoyed the comedy of master of ceremonies Jonny Harris and the music of Spirit of Newfoundland Productions.

Dr. Reta Tremblay, Memorial's vice-president (academic) pro tempore, brought greetings on behalf of Memorial University and provided the guests with an update on university’s activities via a video presentation.
