Assistant professor of pathology wins 2015 Dr. John G. Williams Clinical Teaching award

Dr. Luis Gai, clinical assistant professor of pathology, has been awarded the Dr. John G. Williams Clinical Teaching award by the Professional Association of Residents of Newfoundland and Labrador (PARNL).
 
The Dr. John G. Williams Clinical Teaching Award is an award sponsored by PARNL for the best clinical teacher of the past year. The award recognizes a person’s exemplary dedication in the important role as a teacher, while fulfilling their duties in a cheerful, positive manner with a high degree of knowledge, professionalism and skill. Dr. Gai was selected unanimously this year by PARNL for this award.

The Professional Association of Internes and Residents of Newfoundland (PAIRN) is the official voice for approximately 240 postgraduate medical trainees in Newfoundland and Labrador. Members are medical school graduates registered at Memorial University of Newfoundland and completing residency training in hospitals and health care centres throughout the province.

Dr. Gai was joined by some of the pathology residents at the Faculty of Medicine in receiving his award.
