Graduate student presents at European conference

Master’s student Matthew Dyer has just returned from Belgium where he presented a poster on his research.
 

Matthew received a travel award from the Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie (VIB) to attend the third Applied Bioinformatics in Life Sciences Conference at Leuven in Belgium. He presented a poster about his project - MethMotif.org:The 2021 update of the transcription factor binding motifs database that integrates tissue-specific features and DNA methylation profiles.

Matthew's supervisor is Dr. Touati Benoukraf, Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Bioinformatics for Personalised Medicine and assistant professor in the Discipline of Genetics.
