Family Medicine

Enhanced Skills Programs

Memorial University’s Discipline of Family Medicine offers Enhanced Skills training in Emergency Medicine, Care of the Elderly, and Care of Underserved Populations. These fellowship programs assist family medicine residents and family physicians in broadening their clinical practice in these specialized areas.  
 
Application is open to family medicine residents currently enrolled in a Family Medicine Residency Training Program in Canada or practising family physicians (CCFP certified or eligible to sit the CCFP examination). 
 
Category 1 
 
A 6-month program for Care of the Elderly may be available to physicians returning from practice. External funding would be required. This application would occur outside of CaRMS. If interested in more details, please contact the Program Director and/or the Academic Program Administrator.
