PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Professional Development & Conferencing Services is an academic and service unit of the Faculty of Medicine. Our academic mission is to support the fulfillment of the Faculty of Medicine’s continuing professional development (CPD) mandate through educational research and development. Professional development includes upgrading and enhancing the skills of health professionals through education and training; recruitment, assessment and training of international medical graduates; and faculty development. We also promote a host of partnering opportunities within the public / private sectors outside the university environment. These include research, developing online learning and web / video / audio conferencing.

CONFERENCING SERVICES

Professional Development & Conferencing Services maintains both video and audio conferencing systems in support of the delivery of distributed education for the Faculty of Medicine and Memorial University. We also provide conferencing services to the public / private and not-for-profit sectors in the form of multi-point video conferencing and reservationless teleconferencing.
