Hardware Requirements Access to all the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Knowledge Information Network (NLHKIN) resources will be through the World Wide Web. It is recommended that you have a minimum of a Pentium computer with 32 mb of RAM (with Windows 95 or higher) or an equivalent MAC. You will also need an Internet connection that supports Internet browsing (such as a direct connection, a SLIP account, or a PPP account) and a graphical Internet browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. The majority of resources require that JavaScript be enabled on your WWW browser. |

To ensure optimal performance of the WebSPIRS gateway, we recommend that it is used with browsers running on these platforms. You may experience problems
using browsers on other platforms such as Windows 3.1 or X Windows.

NLHKIN Login The NLHKIN resources are licensed, and are therefore restricted to members. In order to access these resources, you must be registered. Corporate members who are using their corporation computer will be able to access the resources without any additional steps. Individual members, or individuals who are registered through their corporation for off-site use, will need to login to NLHKIN by entering a NLHKIN username and password. |
