Rural Teaching Award

The 1998 Yong Kee Jeon Award for excellence in teaching was presented to two rural physicians during the fall meeting in Twillingate. The recipients were Dr. John Sheldon, who has practised in New World Island wince 1964, and Dr. Mo Ravalia, who has been in Twillingate intermittently since 1984 and permanently since 1992. On hand for the presentation ceremony were (L-R): last year's winner, Dr. Conleth O'Maonaigh, Dr. Yong Kee Jeon, Dr. Mo Ravalia and Dr. Roger Thomas, chair of Family Medicine. Dr. John Sheldon (inset) was unable to attend the presentation.
