The Newfoundland Genealogical Toolkit, a state-of-the-art information technology platform, has received $1.8 million in a second round of funding from the Atlantic Canada Opportunity Agency Atlantic Innovation Fund (ACOA-AIF).

Memorial’s Faculty of Medicine joined a cross-country live video link for a presentation by the three co-chairs of the FMEC Task Force on Implementation Strategy along with a short video and question-and-answer session.
Dr. Robert Walley, professor emeritus and executive director of MaterCare International (MCI), is heading to Haiti Jan 19 to begin a needs assessment of obstetrical services in the devastated country. He is co-ordinating his efforts through Mother Theresa's Sisters of Mercy in Miami.
