Passed peacefully away on Friday April 21, Vera Frances Griffin (nee Finn), aged 73. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Theresa Finn, brother William Finn, sister Anita Bishop, Chris Griffin and his parents, Dermot and Doris Griffin and Gerard Griffin.

The office of MD students Stephen Ryan and Michael Bartellas is not your typical office. It’s full of plastic models and storage units with trays full of different plastic prototypes including umbilical clamps, skulls and joints. All made on 3D printers.

One look around when you enter the Choices for Youth building, it’s pretty obvious the work they do and why it’s needed: The space is packed with baby items, clothes free for the taking, a pantry of food and toiletries, which are in high demand, chairs and tables, musical instruments and the smell of coffee that’s constantly brewing. Every square inch is used. But most noticeable is the sheer optimism of the staff. They dish out hope, which could be why the organization is so busy.

The Office of Student Affairs is dedicated to supporting students in the Faculty of Medicine to achieve 
their full aca
demic and personal potentials. Medical training is an endeavor that brings a host of new experiences, new people, and unique challenges. Therefore, we want to ensure that all students are supported throughout their medical education with the resources that they need to succeed. We offer students a range of personal, financial, academic and career counseling services and support. Through our Student Wellness Program we aim to promote the development of a healthy balance of work, extracurricular activities and community involvement among our students.

door policy and invite students to drop in to see us any time. Please visit us as often as you wish.
