The Medical Research Endowment Fund (MRF) is a research endowment fund established by Memorial University of Newfoundland to assist the Faculty of Medicine in its objectives of developing and maintaining research excellence to meet the needs of the province and its people.
The MRF has provided important financial support for more than 50 research projects since 1992.
Many research areas have been supported, including:
Cancer
Rheumatoid arthritis
Hypertension
Genetics
Cardiovascular disease
Diabetes
Macular degeneration
Prescription drug marketing
