1973 was a pivotal year in the history of Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine with the first M.D. degrees being awarded. Then, at the beginning of 1974, the move from the temporary buildings to the new Health Sciences Centre would begin. As a part of the celebration of the success of the Faculty of Medicine leading to this point and in honour of the first graduating class, Sheila Gushue was hired to create this booklet.  Ms. Gushue would continue in the capacity of public relations officer for the Faculty of Medicine for the next fifteen years.
