The first edition of MUNMED was published in February 1989.  Ms. Sharon Gray was hired as the Communications Co-ordinator (Health Sciences) for the Division of Public Relations (now the Division of Marketing and Communications), and was MUNMED’s  first editor, a position that she still holds today. The newsletter became MUNMED in October of 1989, and since 2001 has been called MUNMED News. It contains information about appointments, promotions and resignations, along with other news and events happening within the Faculty of Medicine.
