General interest: sub-cellular mechanisms of cardiac dysfunctions

Specific interests: Physiology and physiopathology of cardiac Purkinje cells.

Current Research: Our current research projects address the intracellular control of cardiac electric activity in normal and diseased hearts.We use advanced cell imaging technologies, electrophysiology and computational modeling to ellucidate the triggering mechanisms of ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation in human ischemic heart. Research is conducted on large animal models of myocardial ischemia and infarction.
