Volunteers needed for retinal disease conference
September 21, 2012

The Foundation Fighting Blindness, Canada’s largest registered charity for sight saving research, is seeking volunteers for their annual Vision Quest Conference.

The conference is happening at St. John’s Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland. They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Most of the volunteer roles will include a combination of providing information to the participants and/or assisting participants to the conference area, food area and to the washroom entrance before the session and during the break. Volunteers may also be needed to help out with set-up, take down, participant registration and to assist participants with completing the evaluation form after the conference. While the conference is in session, volunteers have the opportunity to sit on the side to listen to some of Canada’s top vision scientists, while enjoying some refreshments.

If you are interested in getting involved at this educational patient conference, please contact Samara Gravesande at sgravesande@ffb.ca or 1 800 461 3331. Samara would be happy answer your questions about this volunteer opportunity or any other inquiries about the conference.
