MRF 2018 Grants Program

The 2018 MRF Research Grants Program awards:


Research Development Grants
  • Up to 7 Research Development Grants will be awarded.
  • Each grant will be valued at up to $20,000.
  • All applications to this competition will be considered for both a Research Development Grant and the Cox Award (see below).

The Cox Award
  • The Cox Award will be awarded to the top-ranked application in this grant competition, and will be distinguished by raising the total amount of the grant to $35,000.  
  • The Cox Award has been awarded on an annual basis since 1993, and is named in recognition of the contributions made to the Medical School by Dr. Albert Reginald Cox (1928 - 2015), who served as MUN's first Chair of Medicine, second Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and the University’s Vice President (academic).

2018 Epilespy-NL Grant Competition

Submission Deadline: January 15th, 2018
 
The MUN Faculty of Medicine is pleased to announce an internal Epilepsy-NL Grant competition for 2018
  • Grants budget up to $25,000
  • Applications are due January 15th, 2018
  • Except for a few special requirements noted in the EpilepsyNL Grant Instructions, applications to the Epilepsy-NL Research Grant competition will make use of the most recent MRF application forms and follow the most recent MRF guidelines
  • This grant is supported by Epilepsy Newfoundland and Labrador. Bridging the gap between the medical and social realities of living with epilepsy, Epilepsy Newfoundland and Labrador offers a wide range of programs and services.
