Introduction - Emergency Medicine

The College of Family Physicians of Canada offers one year of specialty training in Emergency Medicine through its CFPC (EM) Residency Training Program. The Memorial University Program was granted New Approval in May 2003 and commenced training its first resident in September 2003. Full Approval was granted in June 2007.

Successful completion of this twelve-month program will lead to eligibility to sit the CCFP EM Certification Examination in Emergency Medicine.
